Jane Clayton & Company is a leading online retailer of designer fabrics, wallpapers, and made-to-measure soft furnishings.
We are a fast-growing, profitable, family-owned ecommerce business, offering over 75,000 products from brands including Liberty, Farrow & Ball, and Morris & Co. We continue to invest in our business - expanding our product range, improving our website, and growing internationally. For the year ahead, we expect revenues to pass the £20-million mark as we continue to execute on our growth plans.
Established in 1979, we combine strong foundations with ambitious plans. Our heritage in interior design and curtain making underpins our unique made-to-measure offering, which sets us apart in the market.
Based in modern offices in Paulton, near Bristol and Bath, we are a team of around 40 and continuing to grow.
About the job
We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Executive/Paid Marketing Executive to join our growing marketing team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for performance marketing who wants to develop their skills across Paid Media and wider digital channels.
This is a newly created role as we continue to invest in our marketing capability. You'll work alongside our Paid Marketing Manager, helping increase the capacity, resilience and effectiveness of our marketing team while developing your own expertise across paid media and digital marketing.
Unlike an agency role, you'll see the direct commercial impact of your work. You'll work closely with our Ecommerce, Merchandising and Trading teams, helping shape campaigns, product launches and website improvements across multiple premium brands.
Reporting into the Paid Marketing Manager, your focus will be supporting and optimising Paid Search and Paid Social campaigns to drive profitable customer acquisition. You will help ensure campaigns deliver strong ROI and efficient CPAs, while also contributing to improving brand visibility across key platforms.
A key part of your role will be working on paid campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, supporting the optimisation of Search and Shopping activity. You will assist with testing ad copy, audiences, keywords, and bidding strategies to improve performance and conversion rates.
Alongside paid media, you will gain experience across the wider digital marketing mix by assisting on campaign planning and execution across email and content as well as supporting the wider marketing team.
About you
You are a motivated digital marketer with around 1–3 years' experience in paid media, either in-house or agency side, and enjoy combining creativity with data to deliver strong campaign performance for an ecommerce retailer. You have hands-on experience supporting and optimising Paid Search and Paid Social campaigns and are looking to build your career in performance marketing.
You are confident working with platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Pinterest and Meta, managing campaigns within agreed budgets and performance targets. You have a good understanding of campaign optimisation and are comfortable using tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Looker Studio and Excel to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
You enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and take ownership of your work while supporting the wider marketing team. You're organised, eager to learn and happy to get involved across different digital marketing channels as your experience grows.
You have a commercial mindset and enjoy using campaign data and customer insights to test new ideas, refine targeting and improve performance. You're beginning to develop an understanding of attribution, customer behaviour and how these influence marketing decisions.
You are highly numerate, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Most importantly, you're enthusiastic about digital marketing, keen to learn and excited by the opportunity to help grow premium ecommerce brands through paid media.
Benefits
We aim to create an enjoyable team environment, where employees are valued and their contribution to our business success is recognised and rewarded.
We don’t have an overtime culture, but when overtime is needed it is always paid extra. We pay a bonus twice yearly. When it comes to holidays we offer 33 days paid leave (including bank holidays).
Our team values the opportunity to work flexible hours, and we have a hybrid working policy with working from home possible on fixed days (Tuesday and Wednesday).
The usual benefits are provided including company pension, life insurance, income protection, cycle to work scheme, and a generous employee discount scheme.

Summary
We are the leading online retailer of designer fabrics, wallpapers, and made-to-measure soft furnishings. We are a family-owned business that is fast-growing and ambitious. For the year ahead, we expect revenues to pass the £20 million mark as we continue to execute on our growth plans.
We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to work in our busy trade team. Our trade customers return to us time after time. You will help encourage this loyalty by providing excellent service and building lasting relationships.
More about us
We are an ambitious ecommerce company, offering over 70,000 designer products from famous brands including Farrow & Ball, Mulberry, Ralph Lauren and Sanderson.
Established in 1979, our business is solidly built on our interior design and curtain-making heritage, and our unique online made-to-measure furnishings offer sets us apart.
We are based in modern offices in Paulton, around a 30-minute drive from both Bristol and Bath. Our team currently has 40 people and is expected to grow steadily.
About the job
Our trade customers include interior designers, architects, curtain makers, hotel and hospitality groups, fit-out companies, yacht builders, and a host of other discerning customers.
We offer a trade discount and provide dedicated customer service via phone and email to this select group of customers. You will be responsible for delivering the excellent level of service we have become known for by understanding our customers’ individual needs. This may be a special pricing request for a large order, an enquiry about express shipping options, a request for a custom colour, or a technical query which requires liaising with our suppliers.
We will give you the training you need on our systems, products and services, to equip you to provide a high level of support. We use modern, industry-leading systems to manage calls, emails, support tickets and customer payments. You will need to be quick with systems and able to multi-task whilst speaking to a customer.
Overall, it’s a job that combines working with discerning customers, developing deep knowledge of our extensive range of designer products, and a good deal of problem-solving.
Your skills and experience
As a ‘people person’ who can relate to customers and build trust, you will have previous customer service experience, preferably working with other businesses. Ideally, you will also have experience of complex or high-value products.
You will be a good communicator—engaging and reassuring over the phone, and able to write clear, professional emails. You will be comfortable working across different systems, multitasking and learning new skills. You will also demonstrate good judgement when presented with new challenges and be able to work at pace, particularly during busy periods.
Why work for us?
Salaries are reviewed annually and employees are eligible for a twice-yearly bonus linked to business performance. We offer some flexibility around working hours and occasionally ask team members to be flexible during particularly busy periods. Benefits include 33 days’ paid holiday (including bank holidays), company pension, life insurance, income protection, and a generous employee discount scheme.
We aim to create an enjoyable team environment, where employees are valued and their contribution to our business success is recognised and rewarded.
