A traditional technique known as warp print is used to create this ikat design. The warp yarns are printed with pattern prior to weaving giving the design a diffused and unsaturated effect. The blurred lines of the geometric motifs in Samson is characteristic of the ikat aesthetic and lends great subtlety of colour to the design.
