The lively tropical design Trumpet Flowers features the Brugmansia shrub whose large, fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers have earned it the name of Angels Trumpets. Designed in 1913 by Stuart Proverbs, it marked a new direction at the end of the Arts and Crafts era, when exoticism and colour began to emerge.
