Bombazine is a contemporary interpretation of the historical flame stitch, a bold, often colourful zig zag pattern achieved through a combination of different weaving techniques. Popular during the 18th century, this luxurious weave was developed for Liberty using textural yarns, coloured with rich hues from the design house's signature colour palette. Bombazine can be seen here in the Dragonfly colourway.
