Tapis is based on a hand-painted artwork unearthed in the Liberty archive. Originally printed for the 1991 Liberty furnishing fabric collection, the design evokes a richly hued tapestry, reminiscent of the exquisitely crafted, traditional Persian rugs discovered in the famed Liberty rug salon. Brimming with vibrant flora and fauna, birds and peacocks with their graceful plumage blend seamlessly into the decorative floral background. Tapis is woven with a viscose-polyester blend, shown here in the Lacquer colourway.
