From a densely covered design featuring small jasmine flowers and a leafy vine, this pattern has evolved from the original document, designed for wallpaper, to embrace the weave repeat. Leaves have been introduced and enhanced, always thinking of the natural design and shape, echoing the natural, flowing forms seen in the work of William Morris and John Henry Dearle. Clover & Vine represents the artistic hand of today’s designers, an interpretation viewed through fresh eyes and enriched with a new depth of colour. This handcrafted woven quality is particularly robust, almost monotone, with the indigo colourway appearing as batik in the finish. A wool blend, the handle is heavy and beautifully tactile, reminiscent of a classic tapestry. Shown here in the Russet colourway.
