Designed initially as wallpaper and chintz, Daisy & Oak has a scattering of acorns, a beloved Morris & Co. motif, which completes the composition, forming a distinctive silhouette alongside dainty daisies and tulips. A striking central motif with an unusual layout and unique repeat, Daisy & Oak is highly decorative, bold, and unmistakably Morris & Co. In this warp-printed iteration, the design is screen-printed directly onto the laid-out warp before weaving, a highly skilled technique. Once printed, the warp is threaded onto the loom, and the weft is woven through, resulting in an ikat finish.
