Wilton Weave, named in honour of the Wilton Royal Carpet Factory in Wiltshire, which once manufactured carpets for Morris & Co., has been thoughtfully reimagined. Retaining the distinctive symmetry and structure of its carpet origins, the design celebrates the intention behind the original artwork. Reminiscent of a tapestry, Wilton Warp Print is refined in its detailing: stylised flowerheads, scrolling foliage, and decorative dots come together in a smart, balanced composition. In this warp-printed iteration, the design is screen-printed directly onto the laid-out warp before weaving, a highly skilled technique. Once printed, the warp is threaded onto the loom, and the weft is woven through, resulting in an ikat effect that reflects both craftsmanship and innovation.
