Cushions in Gion FR Fabric by Zinc Product Ref: Z858/03

Two titans of texture, chenille and velvet are brought together in this supremely soft, indulgent upholstery fabric, offering the added benefit of being FR compliant. A rich velvet pile sits proudly above a chenille ground, forming a characterful surface pattern reminiscent of charred timber. Named after the historic Japanese district of Gion, the design draws inspiration from the ancient technique of Shou Sugi Ban, in which wood is carefully charred to enhance its beauty and durability, a material process frequently referenced in Dieter’s architectural work. The result is a tactile, atmospheric fabric that balances depth, softness and refined intensity. Shown here in the Carbon colourway.
