A signature material featured throughout many Dieter Vander Velpen Architects projects, travertine is celebrated for its naturally textured surface, defined by distinctive hollows and organic pitting. This innovative design captures the essence of the stone through a richly layered textile interpretation. Soft velvet rises above a lustrous jacquard ground to recreate travertine’s characteristic markings, while a delicate wash of print across the pile introduces subtle tonal variation and movement.
