The Guards Tent Wallpaper by Langelid Von Bromssen Product Ref: 31-68
$249.00

Collection:
When Gustav III took over Drottningholm in 1777, he planned several new buildings in the park. They were to create atmosphere, provide surprising views and also be part of the scenery for the court's performances.
One of those buildings is the Guard Tent, which was completed in 1782. The entire facade of the tin is painted striped and shaped to resemble a tent cloth. Although the Guard Tent appears to be a pure decoration in the park, something was also hidden behind the playful facade – a barracks for the royal guards. Seen here in the Wine Red colorway.
