The Drift collection from Layered is a series of handwoven rugs in a single, solid color across the whole surface. This rug collection lets texture and material carry the visual weight rather than pattern. The handloom technique gives the surface a subtle, handmade irregularity that catches light differently depending on the angle in the room. It works as a grounding piece in a room that already has pattern elsewhere, or as a starting point for a more pared-back palette.


Made from 100% wool, with a cotton warp, this centerpiece offers a thick pile height of 14–15mm, giving the rug a soft, substantial feel underfoot without excessive bulk. The handloom process means each piece carries small, natural variations in texture, consistent with its handmade construction.
